Orygen Perú Company Description
Orygen Perú S.A.A. engages in the energy and power generation business in Peru. The company owns five hydroelectric plants with a generating capacity of 600.05 MW located in the Santa Eulalia and Rímac River basins, Lima; and two thermoelectric generating plants with a capacity of 410.9 MW situated in Cercado de Lima and another with 476.2 MW located in Ventanilla.
It also owns two solar power plants located in the province of Mariscal Nieto, the Moquegua region with a generating capacity of 259.4 MW; and two wind power plants situated in the province of Nazca, the Ica region with a generating capacity of 309.3 MW.
The company was formerly known as Enel Generación Peru S.A.A. and changed its name to Orygen Perú S.A.A.
in July 2024. The company was founded in 1906 and is based in Lima, Peru.
Orygen Perú S.A.A. is a subsidiary of Niagara Energy S.A.C.
