The fund uses derivatives such as swap agreements to invest in the stocks of companies operating in the renewable energy sector which include renewable energy (solar, wind, biomass), energy efficiency (more efficient use of energy sources via electrical meters and superconductors), and decentralization of energy supplies (power generation near consumers via micro-turbines and fuel cells). It invests in the stocks of companies across all market capitalizations. The fund seeks to replicate the performance of the World Alternative Energy Index CW Net Total Return Index, by employing synthetic replication methodology.
