The fund invests in the fixed income markets of the European Union. It uses derivatives such as swaps to invest in Euro denominated, fixed-rate covered bonds with maturity of at least 3 years. The fund invests in investment grade securities that are rated as BBB- and above by S&P and Fitch and Baa3 and above by Moody’s. It seeks to replicate the performance of the Markit iBoxx EUR Liquid Covered Index, by employing synthetic replication methodology. The fund was formerly known as db x-trackers II - iBoxx EUR Liquid Covered UCITS ETF. Xtrackers II - EUR Covered Bond Swap UCITS ETF was formed on November 27, 2012 and is domiciled in Luxembourg.
