The fund invests in the stocks of large-cap companies, the returns being hedged to Euro. It seeks to replicate the performance of the S&P 500 Euro Hedged Index, by employing representative sampling methodology. The fund was formerly known as iShares V Public Limited Company - iShares S&P 500 Monthly EUR Hedged. iShares S&P 500 EUR Hedged UCITS ETF was formed on September 30, 2010 and is domiciled in Ireland.
