The fund invests in the public equity markets of the United States. It seeks to invest in the stocks of companies operating in the health care sector, which include companies involved in the health care equipment and supplies or provide health care related services, including distributors of health care products, providers of basic health-care services, owners and operators of health care facilities and organizations, and research, development, production, and marketing of pharmaceuticals and biotechnology products. The fund invests in the stocks of large-cap companies. It seeks to replicate the performance of the S&P 500 Health Care Index, by investing in the stocks of companies as per their weightings in the index. iShares S&P 500 Health Care Sector UCITS ETF was formed on August 22, 2011 and is domiciled in Ireland.
