About GLTA

The Invesco UK Gilts UCITS ETF Acc endeavors to replicate the total return performance of the Bloomberg Sterling Gilt Index, net of its associated fees. This benchmark index measures the performance of investment-grade, fixed-rate public debt obligations issued by the United Kingdom government and denominated in British Pounds. Crucially, it includes only conventional (nominal) gilt issues, explicitly excluding inflation-linked bonds. The Sterling Gilt Index forms a component of several broader bond indices, such as the Sterling Aggregate, Pan-European Aggregate, Global Aggregate, and Global Treasury Indices. Both the fund and its reference index are subject to monthly rebalancing and reconstitution. To achieve its aim, the fund's portfolio managers utilize advanced modeling tools and techniques to construct a portfolio that holds a representative proportion of the index's securities. This sampling methodology is designed to closely match the index's performance while keeping the operational expenses lower than those incurred through a strategy of full replication. This ETF is categorized as passively managed, meaning an investment in this fund represents an acquisition of units in a passively managed, index-tracking vehicle, rather than direct ownership of the underlying assets held by the fund.
