The company is involved in the planting and milling of sugar cane for the production of sugar and by-products of sugar cane, including molasses and bagasses; landscaping and nursery business that includes cultivation of aromatics, indoor plants, and orchids; production of fruits and vegetables, such as potatoes, onions, and carrots; and ready to eat products, including seasonal fruits, dried herbs, and chips and snacks.
It also provides nursery, pre-primary, primary school, secondary school, and higher education programs; and executive education services.
In addition, the company engages in land promotion; residential and commercial property development activities; asset, property, and facilities management services; rental of office, and commercial buildings; construction and sale of villas; hotel resort operation; and other land transactions.
Further, it operates Casela nature and leisure park, nature escapade, Tamarina golf and spa boutique hotel, SPARC sports and leisure center, and restaurants; and offers deer farming, nature escapade, forestry, management consultancy, event management, and travel and tourism services, as well as provides renewable energy services.
The company was formerly known as The Medine Sugar Estates Company Limited and changed its name to Medine Limited in September 2009.
