It operates through two segments: Oleo Chemicals and Chlor Alkali, and Coating Emulsion and Resins. The company produces oleo chemical products, including stearic acid, soap noodles, glycerin, and distilled fatty acids, as well as hydrogenated oils; chlor alkali products, such as caustic soda, chlorinated paraffin wax, liquid chlorine, sodium hypochlorite, and hydrochloric acid; and optical brightening agents for application in detergents, textile pre-treatment and finishing processing, and paper manufacturing and coating industries.
It also provides chemical solutions for sizing, pre-treatment, dyeing, printing, and finishing of yarn, woven, non-woven, knitwear, towel, teri towel, and other textile applications.
In addition, the company produces pulp chemicals, such as anti-stickies, anti-foams, fixing agents, coating thickeners, and biocides; AKD emulsions, surface sizing agents, monomers, and fortified rosins used in inner and surface of paper; and construction chemicals comprising admixtures, epoxy coating, structures, repair mortars, grouts, adhesives, and sealants, as well as epoxy and PU flooring, waterproofing, and restrengthening products.
Further, it provides contract manufacturing for toilet soap bars, aerosols, liquid formulations, and home care products in multiple packing options; and solar financing, operation and maintenance, project consultancy, and net-metering services, as well as turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction services for industrial, commercial, residential, government and agriculture sectors in solar energy, renewal energy options, EV battery, and other related solutions.
The company was formerly known as Ravi Alkalis Limited and changed its name to Nimir Industrial Chemicals Limited in March 1998.
