Shakarganj Limited, together with its subsidiary, manufactures, purchases, and sells sugar, biofuel, and yarn in Pakistan and internationally.
The company operates through Sugar, Biofuel, Textile, and Farms segments. It offers various types of refined cane sugar products, including pharmaceutical, beverage, and commercial grade sugar, as well as soft brown sugar, castor and icing sugar, sugar cubes, sachets, and retail packs.
The company also provides bagasse that is used as a raw material in the paper and building material industries; molasses, a by-product of sugar manufacturing process, which is used in the production of ethyl alcohols, liquors, table syrups, food flavorings, and processed tobaccos, as well as used as food for farm animals; and press-mud that is used as a manure by farmers, as well as used in kilns for brick making.
In addition, it offers rectified ethanol for industrial and food grades; anhydrous ethanol for fuel grade; extra neutral alcohol for pharmaceutical and perfume grades; concentrated ethyl alcohol and fuel bioethanol; and denatured spirits and methylated spirits for the paint industry.
Further, the company provides carded cotton and PC yarns, as well as slub yarns. Additionally, it provides nonchemical fertilizers and tiger composts; and dairy, fruit pulps, purees, and concentrate juices.
The company exports its products to Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Far East. The company was formerly known as Shakarganj Mills Limited and changed its name to Shakarganj Limited in March 2015.
