It uses derivatives such as swaps to invest in the stocks of companies operating across diversified sectors. The fund invests in the stocks of large-cap companies, with a market capitalization of more than US $3.5 billion. It seeks to replicate the performance of the S&P 500 Total Return Index, by employing synthetic replication methodology. The fund was formerly known as Multi Units Luxembourg - Lyxor UCITS ETF S&P 500. Lyxor S&P 500 UCITS ETF was formed on March 26, 2010 and is domiciled in Luxembourg.
