Troubleshooting

Sync delay / missing holdings

Unfortunately, some brokers have a built-in delay in updating their holdings. For instance, Fidelity and IBKR only update their data once per day.

This means that you may not see your added holdings right away. Instead, you may need to wait a day or two for your broker to update.

If you're using Fidelity, manually refreshing your portfolio after 8 a.m. EST should always show the previous day's trades.

That said, if your added holdings are delayed by several days, please let us know. That may indicate some kind of bug, which we will investigate promptly.

Missing brokerage

We use a third-party service, SnapTrade, to manage brokerage integration. They currently sync with 25+ brokerage firms.

If you don't see your broker on this list, it's likely that SnapTrade doesn't yet have them available.

SnapTrade is currently working to integrate the following broker:

  • M1 Finance

We have also asked them to add the following brokers:

  • Scotia/Scotiabank
  • eToro
  • Comdirect
  • National Bank Brokerage
  • Janus
  • Morgan Stanley
  • CIBC
  • CMC Markets (Australia)
  • Raymond James
  • BMO Investorline
  • SelfWealth (Australia)

If you have another broker that's currently unsupported by SnapTrade, please let us know.
