About Augustus
Augustus is a financial technology company building what it calls the Global Dollar Bank, a clearing bank that gives international fintechs and banks direct access to US dollar accounts and payment rails. Its platform runs on a proprietary core banking system called Marble that settles payments around the clock across ACH, SWIFT, SEPA and stablecoin networks. Augustus targets financial institutions in Latin America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa that otherwise reach the dollar through legacy correspondent banks. It makes money by charging clients to clear and settle dollar transactions through this infrastructure. The company received conditional approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency for a US national bank charter in May 2026, when it rebranded from its original name, Ivy.
