About Cal.com

Cal.com is a scheduling software company known as the most direct alternative to Calendly. People and businesses use it to share booking links that let others pick a meeting time. The platform handles calendar syncing, time zone detection, reminders, payments and video calls. The company also sells scheduling infrastructure, letting developers embed its booking engine into their own products through APIs and pre-built components. Cal.com makes money through paid subscriptions for teams, organizations and enterprise customers and through its developer platform. It started in 2021 as an open source project called Calendso, but in April 2026 it moved its production codebase to closed source over AI security concerns, keeping a stripped-down community edition called Cal.diy under an open license.
