About Chipper Cash
Chipper Cash is a financial technology company that lets people in Africa and the African diaspora send money across borders from a mobile app. Transfers between Chipper wallets are free and users can send to bank and mobile money accounts in more than 21 African countries. The app also issues virtual Visa cards for online spending and offers fractional US stock investing, crypto, airtime top-ups and bill payments. A separate Chipper for Business line covers merchant checkout, a payouts and collections API, the Zoona agent network for cash in and cash out, and identity verification through Chipper ID. Chipper Cash makes money mostly on the exchange-rate margin applied to cross-border transfers, along with cash-out fees, card fees, stock trading fees and merchant transaction fees.
