About Cleerly
Cleerly is a healthcare technology company that uses artificial intelligence to measure coronary artery disease from CT scans. Its FDA-cleared software reads coronary computed tomography angiography images and quantifies how much plaque sits in each artery, what that plaque is made of and how narrowed the vessel is. Two companion products extend that analysis: Cleerly ISCHEMIA estimates whether blood flow is restricted and Cleerly COMPARE tracks how plaque changes between scans. Cleerly makes money by charging hospitals, imaging centers and cardiology practices for each scan it analyzes, which providers bill to Medicare and to commercial insurers such as UnitedHealthcare, Cigna and Aetna under dedicated CPT Category I codes. Founder and chief executive James Min is a cardiologist who directed the Dalio Institute of Cardiovascular Imaging at NewYork-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medicine before starting the company.
