About Ema
Ema is an enterprise AI company that builds Universal AI Employees, role-shaped agentic systems that automate multi-step workflows across functions such as HR, IT, finance, customer support and sales. Enterprises configure pre-built or custom AI Employees through a no-code builder and Generative Workflow Engine that connects to existing apps, then runs agents that can take actions across those systems rather than only answering questions. Under the hood, EmaFusion combines many public and private models per task to balance accuracy, cost and latency, and the platform supports cloud plus on-prem or air-gapped deployments. Ema makes money by selling its AI Employee platform to enterprises, including outcome-oriented pricing for products such as Ema Recruiter. It was co-founded in 2023 by CEO Surojit Chatterjee, formerly Coinbase's chief product officer, and Souvik Sen.
