About Fireworks AI
Fireworks AI is a cloud platform for running generative AI models in production. Its inference engine serves hundreds of open-source models across text, image, audio and multimodal formats, with tools for fine-tuning and reinforcement learning that let customers train and deploy custom models at scale. The company makes money by charging usage-based fees, including per-token pricing for serverless inference and charges for dedicated GPU deployments and model training. It was founded by former Meta engineers who built the PyTorch framework, including CEO Lin Qiao, and powers AI products at companies like Cursor, Uber, Notion and Shopify.
