About groundcover
groundcover is a cloud-native observability platform that helps engineering teams monitor applications, infrastructure and AI workloads. Its core technology is an eBPF-based sensor that collects full-fidelity telemetry such as logs, metrics and traces without code changes or manual instrumentation. The company pioneered a "bring your own cloud" model, in which customer telemetry is stored and processed inside the customer's own cloud environment rather than groundcover's. This lets it price by infrastructure footprint instead of data volume. groundcover makes money by selling subscriptions to the platform, positioning itself as a lower-cost alternative to incumbents such as Datadog, New Relic and Grafana Cloud.
