About ICEYE
ICEYE is a European space technology company that operates the world's largest constellation of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites. Its satellites capture high-resolution radar imagery of the Earth's surface during the day or at night and through clouds, smoke and darkness, conditions that defeat traditional optical satellites. ICEYE makes money by selling satellite imagery and monitoring data on a subscription and per-task basis. It also builds and delivers complete "sovereign" satellite systems that governments own and operate themselves. Its main customers work in defense and intelligence, insurance, emergency management and environmental monitoring. The company was founded in 2014 as a spin-off from Finland's Aalto University and is headquartered in Espoo, Finland.
