About ICON

ICON is a construction technology company that uses large-scale 3D printers to build homes and other structures out of a proprietary concrete. Its robotic systems print walls layer by layer, which the company says is faster and cheaper than conventional construction. ICON printed the first permitted 3D-printed home in the US in 2018 and has since completed more than 245 homes and structures, including a 100-home community near Austin built with homebuilder Lennar and 3D-printed barracks for the US Army. The company makes money by building projects for developers, homebuilders and government customers. In 2026 it also began selling its Titan robotic construction system directly to builders, and it holds a $57.2 million NASA contract to develop lunar construction technology.
