About Lattice
Lattice is an HR software company that makes people management tools for performance reviews, goal setting, employee engagement surveys and compensation planning. Around 5,000 companies including Slack, Reddit and Cruise use its Talent Suite, which also includes an AI agent that answers HR questions and coaches managers. Lattice makes money by charging companies a per-employee monthly subscription for its software modules. The company briefly expanded into core HR records and payroll but is shutting those products down in 2026 to refocus on talent management. It was founded in 2015 by Jack Altman, a brother of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, who handed the CEO role to former Salesforce executive Sarah Franklin in January 2024.
