About Metropolis
Metropolis is an artificial intelligence company that uses computer vision to enable checkout-free payments in parking lots and other physical spaces. Drivers enroll a vehicle once and the platform recognizes it on the way in and out so there is no ticket, kiosk or app tap at the garage. It is the largest parking operator in the United States after taking SP Plus private in 2024 and is expanding the same recognition technology into fueling, drive-thrus, hotels and retail. Metropolis makes money by operating parking facilities and by licensing its software to real estate and retail partners.
