About micro1
micro1 is a human data company that supplies vetted domain experts to AI labs for training and evaluating frontier AI models. Its AI recruiter agent, Zara, interviews and screens applicants at scale and accepts only a small fraction as contractors. These range from senior software engineers to doctors, lawyers and professors. The experts create training datasets, review model outputs and build reinforcement learning environments through the company's Data Engine and Intelligence platforms. micro1 makes money by charging AI labs and enterprises for expert data projects and keeping a share of the fees after paying its contractors. The company also runs a fast-growing robotics data business, paying thousands of gig workers around the world to record real-world video demonstrations used to train humanoid robots.
