About National Stock Exchange of India

The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) is India's largest stock exchange and the world's largest equity derivatives exchange by contracts traded. It operates a vertically integrated platform for trading, clearing and listing across cash equities, equity derivatives, currency and commodity derivatives, debt and mutual funds. It also owns the benchmark Nifty 50 index family through its NSE Indices subsidiary and settles trades through its NSE Clearing arm. NSE makes money mainly from transaction charges levied on trading members, along with colocation and data connectivity charges, listing fees, index licensing and data services.
