About Niron Magnetics
Niron Magnetics is a manufacturer of rare-earth-free permanent magnets made from Iron Nitride. Its magnets are built from abundant iron and nitrogen rather than neodymium or other rare earths. They are aimed at motors, generators, speakers and other electrified systems across the automotive, industrial, electronics and defense sectors. The company makes money by producing and selling these magnets and by working with manufacturers to qualify them for specific applications. It operates a commercial pilot plant in Minneapolis and is building its first full-scale plant in Sartell, Minnesota.
