About Patreon

Patreon is a membership platform that lets creators earn recurring income directly from their fans. Podcasters, video makers, musicians, writers and artists use it to offer paid memberships, exclusive posts and digital products to their communities. Patreon makes money by taking a percentage cut of creator earnings plus payment processing fees, with new creators paying a standard 10% platform fee. Fans have sent creators more than $10 billion through the platform since it was founded in 2013 by musician Jack Conte and Sam Yam.
