About SHEIN
SHEIN is a global online fast-fashion retailer that sells low-priced clothing, accessories, beauty products and home goods directly to consumers in more than 150 countries. The company is known for its app-led shopping experience and an on-demand manufacturing model that taps a large network of contract factories in China to test small batches of new designs and rapidly scale up the styles that sell. It has also opened its platform to outside merchants through a marketplace that broadens the catalog beyond its own apparel. SHEIN makes money mainly by selling products through its website and mobile apps, and it earns additional revenue from commissions on sales made by third-party marketplace sellers. The company was founded in 2008 by Chris Xu, who still serves as chief executive, and it is now headquartered in Singapore.
