About SiMa.ai
SiMa.ai is a semiconductor company that designs chips and software for running AI directly on devices such as robots, drones, cars and industrial cameras, a market it calls physical AI. Its main product is Modalix, a second-generation machine learning system-on-chip that runs vision, transformer and generative AI models at low power. Modalix is sold as a chip, a system-on-module that is pin-compatible with Nvidia's Orin module, a PCIe card and a developer kit. The company also offers Palette, a software suite that includes an SDK, the no-code Edgematic tool and Palette Neat, an agentic environment that builds and deploys applications on its hardware. SiMa.ai makes money by selling its chips, modules and development kits to manufacturers in robotics, automotive, industrial automation, drones, aerospace and defense, smart vision and healthcare. Founder and CEO Krishna Rangasayee was previously COO of AI chipmaker Groq.
