About Simbe Robotics
Simbe Robotics is a retail technology company whose robots and sensors scan store shelves to tell retailers what is out of stock, what is priced wrong and what is in the wrong place. Its Store Intelligence platform is built around Tally, an autonomous shelf-scanning robot that patrols the aisles during opening hours using computer vision and RFID, alongside fixed Tally Spot sensors and a mobile app that turns the findings into prioritized task lists for store teams. The system is deployed in 10 countries by retailers including BJ's Wholesale Club, SpartanNash, Wakefern Food Corp, Albertsons, Schnuck Markets and CarrefourSA. Simbe makes money by renting the system rather than selling robots. Retailers pay a per-store monthly fee covering the hardware and the software, billed as an annual subscription, and Simbe also takes a share of the revenue when a retailer sells the shelf data it collects to brands and vendors.
