About Starfish Space

Starfish Space is a satellite servicing company that builds the Otter, a small autonomous spacecraft that docks with other satellites in orbit. The Otter extends the life of aging geostationary satellites by taking over their propulsion and station keeping. It also disposes of defunct satellites in low Earth orbit to reduce space debris. The company makes money through servicing contracts with satellite operators and government agencies, including SES, NASA, the U.S. Space Force and the Space Development Agency. Starfish was founded in 2019 by former Blue Origin engineers Austin Link and Trevor Bennett and is based in Tukwila, Washington.
