About Upgrade
Upgrade is a fintech company that offers credit and mobile banking products to mainstream consumers in the United States. Its main products are personal loans, the Upgrade Card, Rewards Checking accounts and the Flex Pay buy now, pay later service, along with home improvement and auto financing. The company makes money mainly from fees for originating and servicing loans issued through its partner banks, as well as interest and interchange revenue across its credit and banking products. Since launch it has delivered more than $50 billion in credit to over 8 million customers. Upgrade was founded in 2016 by Renaud Laplanche who also founded LendingClub.
