About Valar Atomics
Valar Atomics is a nuclear energy startup that develops small, high-temperature gas-cooled reactors that use TRISO fuel and helium coolant. Instead of building one large plant at a time, the company plans to mass-produce a single standardized reactor design and deploy hundreds of them together on large sites it calls gigasites. Valar plans to make money by selling the outputs of these sites directly to customers, including electricity for AI data centers, heat for heavy industry, hydrogen and synthetic hydrocarbon fuels. Its first test reactor, the Ward 250, was built in Utah under the US Department of Energy's Reactor Pilot Program.
