About Verkada
Verkada is a physical security company that makes cloud-managed devices for protecting buildings and the people inside them. Its product lines include video security cameras, access control, environmental sensors, alarms, intercoms and workplace tools like visitor management. All devices are managed through Verkada Command, a cloud platform with AI-powered features such as fast footage search and real-time alerts. Verkada makes money by selling the hardware together with subscription licenses for its cloud software. More than 30,000 organizations across 171 countries use its platform. In late 2025 the company said it had passed $1 billion in annualized bookings. The company was founded in 2016 and is headquartered in San Mateo, California.
