The fund invests in the Australian dollar denominated bonds issued by government, state government, and treasury corporations which are rated as AA or higher by S&P and has a maturity of less than 50 years. It seeks to replicate the performance of the Bloomberg AusBond Govt 0+ Yr Index, by employing representative sampling methodology. Vanguard Australian Government Bond Index ETF was formed on December 22, 2008 and is domiciled in Australia.
