Diesel & Motor Engineering PLC, together with its subsidiaries, operates as a diversified conglomerate in Sri Lanka and internationally.
It operates through seven segments: Mobility, Automotive Engineering Solutions, Retail, Infrastructure Engineering, Agriculture, Power Engineering & Building Technological Solutions, and Healthcare.
The Mobility segment sells brand new, special purpose, and pre-owned vehicles; and provides transportation services.
The Automotive Engineering Solutions segment offers vehicles aftersales, general engineering, assembly and camper trailer, and education in engineering and automotive solutions.
The Retail segment engages in the sale of automotive parts, tyres, auto-care solutions, lighting products, power tools, home appliances, gardening, and construction solutions.
The Infrastructure Engineering segment is involved in the sale and service of construction machinery; provision of storage and material handling solutions, and car parking solutions; and water and fluid management.
The Agriculture segment engages in the import, processing, distribution of fertilizer, seeds, agrochemical and plant nutrients, agri machinery, and value-added organic food, such as fruits, vegetables, and virgin coconut oil products; trading of coconut based products; research and development of technoparks; processing and sale of coconut shell charcoal; and operation of customer experience center.
This segment also provides agri advisory services, agriculture pipes, and agri technologies, including micro-irrigation and greenhouse projects.
The Power Engineering & Building Technological Solutions segment offers engineering and related solutions in power and energy, generation of solar power, building technologies, and elevator and escalator solutions.
The Healthcare segment provides medical equipment, consumables, pharmaceuticals, cardiology devices, and contrast mediums.
