It operates through three segments: Corporate Banking, Retail Banking, and Treasury. The company offers current, malkia, savings, junior jumbo, call, fixed deposit, salary, bidii, Hodari, teen, niamoja, pension, and scholar accounts; personal and salary advance loans; SME, MSE, malkia, and komboa loans; debit cards; short- and long-term loans; and trade finance, overdraft facilities, contract financing for construction, asset-based financing, utility services, general business, and agricultural based project financing.

It also provides foreign exchange, financial, custodial, and registrar-ship services; government securities; securities brokerage services; internet and mobile banking services; and motor, credit life assurance, personal accident, domestic package, fire, group life, fidelity guarantee, goods in transit, marine, money, and all risk insurance products.
