The fund invests in the public equity markets of the United States. It invests directly and through derivatives such as forward contracts in stocks of companies operating across diversified sectors. The fund invests in stocks of large-cap companies, the returns being hedged to British Pound. It seeks to replicate the performance of the S&P 500 British Pound Hedged Index, by employing representative sampling methodology. The fund was formerly known as iShares V Public Limited Company - iShares S&P 500 Monthly GBP Hedged. iShares S&P 500 GBP Hedged UCITS ETF was formed on September 30, 2010 and is domiciled in Ireland.
