The fund invests in the fixed income markets of the United States. It invests in fixed-rate, US Dollar denominated mortgage backed securities issued by the government agencies with a maturity of at least one year. The fund invests in investment grade securities that are rated as at least BBB- by S&P and Fitch and at least Baa3 by Moody’s. It seeks to replicate the performance of the Barclays US Mortgage Backed Securities Index, by employing representative sampling methodology. iShares US Mortgage Backed Securities UCITS ETF was formed on April 19, 2016 and is domiciled in Ireland.
