About MSAU

The Invesco MSCI Saudi Arabia UCITS ETF Acc is designed to mirror the net total return performance of the MSCI Saudi Arabia 20/35 Capped Index (its "Reference Index"), after accounting for fees. The Reference Index itself serves as a benchmark for the Saudi Arabian equity market. It includes large and mid-capitalisation companies, encompassing approximately 85% of the market's free-float adjusted value. To achieve this objective, the fund employs a synthetic replication strategy. It maintains a diversified portfolio of equities, which typically generates the majority of the fund's returns but does not precisely match the constituents of the Reference Index. Crucially, the ETF utilizes unfunded swap agreements. Through these contracts, one or more approved counterparties commit to exchanging with the fund any difference between the returns generated by its internal equity basket and the performance of the Reference Index. This approach enables the fund to achieve a more precise and consistent alignment with the index's performance than would generally be attainable through direct physical replication alone. As a passively managed vehicle, this ETF tracks its benchmark rather than engaging in active stock selection. Therefore, an investment represents an acquisition of units in this index-tracking fund, not a direct ownership stake in the underlying assets held within its portfolio.
