The fund invests in the public equity markets across the globe. It seeks to invest in the stocks of companies operating in the timber and forestry sector, which include forest products companies, timber REITs, paper products companies, paper packaging companies, or agricultural product companies. The fund invests in the stocks of large-cap companies. It seeks to replicate the performance of the S&P Global Timer & Forestry Index, by investing in the stocks of companies as per their weightings in the index. The fund was formerly known as iShares II Public Limited Company - iShares S&P Global Timber & Forestry Fund. iShares Global Timber & Forestry UCITS ETF was formed on October 12, 2007 and is domiciled in Ireland.
