The fund invests in the fixed income markets across the globe. It uses derivatives such as swap agreements to invest in the local currency denominated, fixed-rate bonds that include treasury, government-related, corporate, and securitized securities and with a maturity of minimum one year. The fund invests in investment grade securities that are rated as BBB- and above by S&P and Fitch and Baa3 and above by Moody’s. It seeks to replicate the performance of the Barclays Global Aggregate Bond Index, by employing synthetic replication methodology.
