It invests in the public equity markets of Africa, which include Egypt, Kenya, Mauritius, Morocco, Nigeria, South Africa, and Tunisia. The fund uses derivatives such as swap agreements to invest in the stocks of companies operating across diversified sectors. It invests in the stocks of large-cap and mid-cap companies. The fund seeks to replicate the performance of the MSCI EFM AFRICA TOP 50 CAPPED TRN INDEX, by employing synthetic replication methodology. It was formerly known as db x-trackers - MSCI Africa TOP 50 Index UCITS ETF. Xtrackers MSCI Africa Top 50 Swap UCITS ETF was formed on May 9, 2011 and is domiciled in Luxembourg.
