It is co-managed by BlackRock Financial Management, Inc., BlackRock (Singapore) Limited, and BlackRock Advisors (UK) Limited. The fund invests in the fixed income markets of the United Kingdom. It invests in Sterling-denominated, fixed-rate, inflation-linked government bonds. The fund invests in investment grade securities with a minimum remaining time to maturity of 1 year. It seeks to replicate the performance of the Barclays UK Government Inflation-Linked Bond Index, by employing representative sampling methodology. The fund was formerly known as iShares II Public Limited Company - iShares Barclays £ Index-Linked Gilts. iShares II Plc - iShares Barclays Capital £ Index-Linked Gilts was formed on December 1, 2006 and is domiciled in Ireland.
