It delivers leveraged short exposure to the US Dollar (USD) relative to the British Pound (GBP), tracking the MSFXSM Triple Short US Dollar/GBP Total Return Index. This index provides three times the daily performance of FX forward contracts short USD against GBP, incorporating interest rate differentials adjusted for fees. For instance, a 1% daily weakening of USD versus GBP results in approximately a 3% gain for the ETP, excluding costs, while daily resetting of the leverage factor introduces a compounding effect that can cause deviations over longer periods. Synthetically replicated via unfunded swaps backed by collateral held at The Bank of New York Mellon, primarily in US assets, it features a management expense ratio of 0.98% and relies on counterparties like Morgan Stanley.
