This fund endeavors to replicate the total return of the Bloomberg US Treasury Coupons Index, net of all associated fees. The benchmark index focuses on U.S. government debt securities: specifically, fixed-rate, U.S. dollar-denominated nominal bonds issued by the U.S. Treasury, with maturities between one month and twelve months. Crucially, it excludes Treasury bills, inflation-linked bonds, floating-rate instruments, and STRIP bonds (where principal and interest payments are sold separately). The index undergoes monthly rebalancing. To meet its goal, the fund's managers utilize sophisticated portfolio modeling to purchase and hold a representative portion of the index's securities. This strategic "sampling" method aims to mirror the index's performance as closely as feasible while minimizing the operational expenses associated with full replication.
