The fund invests in the fixed income markets of the United States. It invests in the US dollar denominated, fixed-rate treasury securities with a maturity of more than one year. The fund invests in the investment grade securities that are rated as BBB- and above by S&P and Fitch and Baa3 and above by Moody’s. It seeks to replicate the performance of the Barclays US Treasury Index, by employing representative sampling methodology. The fund was formerly known as SSgA SPDR ETFs Europe I Public Limited Company - SPDR Barclays Capital US Treasury Bond ETF.
