Pradeep Kumar
CFO, Qatar Fuel Company

Thanks, Ahmed, for all the volume updates. Good day, everyone, and hope everyone is safe and healthy. Now, I would like to discuss the consolidated financial results of WOQOD for the nine months ended thirtieth September 2022. Starting with the revenue, I'm on slide 12 now, which shows the revenue trend of WOQOD. Revenue from fuel sales account for nearly 96% of the total revenue. WOQOD achieved total revenue of QAR 22.6 billion for the first nine months of 2022, as compared to QAR 13.7 billion during the same period last year, showing an increase of 65%. The main reasons for the increase in revenue are increase in sales volume by 13% and increase in overall prices by 34%.

As compared to Q2 2022, the revenue increased by 12% during Q3, mainly driven by the increase in sales volume by 7%. Turning to slide 13, which shows the net income. WOQOD has made a net income of QAR 262 million for the Q3 ended 30 September 2022, as compared to QAR 230 million during the same period in 2021. Increase of 14% mainly driven by higher sales volume and other income. Additionally, improvement in non-fuel segment also helped the increase in net income. The detailed analysis of net income variance is given in the next slide. Slide 14 shows the key variance analysis of net income for the nine months ended 30 September 2022, as compared to the same period last year.

The increase in net income of QAR 72 million is due to following major factors. Gross margin increased by QAR 108 million, mainly driven by increase in volume and pricing. Trading stock price variance mainly driven by comparatively lower increase in fuel prices during YTD September 2022 against YTD September 2021. Other income increase is mainly driven by increase in dividends from the investments. WOQOD's fundamentals are continue to remain robust, and WOQOD is committed to meet all its strategic goals while placing safety as a top priority. WOQOD has a strong leadership committed towards delivering the results to the shareholders. With this, we are ready for the Q&A session. Thank you.

Thank you. As a reminder, if you would like to ask a question or make a contribution on today's call, please press star one on your telephone keypad. We will now take our first question from Mustafa Amir. Please go ahead. Your line is open.

Speaker 7

Thank you, gentlemen, for the presentation. This is Zoyee from Al Rayan Investment. The average fuel prices were higher by 4% and your volumes were higher by 13%, but your revenues were a lot more higher. Is it this 4% increase in fuel prices is just for diesel and gasoline? Is my assumption correct? I guess the, you know, the increase in revenue, the significant increase in revenue then comes from the increase in jet fuel prices. Is my understanding correct?

Pradeep Kumar
CFO, Qatar Fuel Company

You're right. The diesel and gasoline segment, the price remain more or less same. Not much fluctuation from the Q2 to Q3 , but the jet fuel of course just increased based on the market prices.

Speaker 7

Just a follow-up on that, could you give us some sense of how much the jet fuel prices increased during this period?

Ahmed Said Al-Mansoori
IR Officer, Qatar Fuel Company

The 9-month to 9-month or Q3 to Q3?

Pradeep Kumar
CFO, Qatar Fuel Company

Yeah. One second. The jet fuel price has gone up by around more than 80% as compared to the first nine months of 2021 to this year, nine months.

Speaker 7

Thank you. Thank you.

Operator

Thank you. Once again, if you would like to ask a question, please press star one on your telephone keypad. All right, we will take our next question from Govinder Kumar from HSBC. Please go ahead. Your line is open.

Govinder Kumar
Analyst, HSBC

Hi. Good morning. Thank you for the presentation. Just to follow- up on the jet fuel prices, could you please let us know what could be a good proxy for the jet fuel prices in Qatar? Thank you.

Pradeep Kumar
CFO, Qatar Fuel Company

Well, jet fuel prices are regulated by the state of Qatar, and it's driven by the change fluctuation in the oil prices. You know, the current oil price is hovering around 90s, and it depends. You know, if it goes up, definitely it's gonna go up, it's gonna come down. It's depending on fluctuation in the oil prices.

Govinder Kumar
Analyst, HSBC

Thank you.

Operator

Thank you. We'll now take the next question from Mustafa Amir from Al Rayan Investment. Please go ahead. Your line is open.

Mustafa Amir
Analyst, Al Rayan Investment

Hi. Thank you for the presentation. Just wanted to understand, in terms of the waterfall chart that you have shown, with regards to the net income. The trading stock price variance in QAR -87, is it basically WOQOD taking a loss on the inventory, or is it just a comparison that is being shown year-on-year?

Pradeep Kumar
CFO, Qatar Fuel Company

Yeah. On the stock price variance, you know, we are holding inventory. Last year, you know, to start with the last year, the average price was almost 1 QAR. In 2021 beginning it was 1 QAR and, you know, by September it has gone up by 80% on the price. That was kind of last year we gained quite a lot on the inventory that we are holding. Now, this year, as you see, the price has not increased as much as it was increased last year. Still, the price is going up, but not as much as it has gone up last year. As compared to the gain that we had last year.

Mustafa Amir
Analyst, Al Rayan Investment

Yeah.

Pradeep Kumar
CFO, Qatar Fuel Company

This year, you know, we didn't gain that much. It's the net of those two variance.

Mustafa Amir
Analyst, Al Rayan Investment

Right. Net. Okay. Understood. Thank you so much.
