The fund invests in the public equity markets of Singapore. It seeks to invest in the stocks of companies operating across diversified sectors. The fund invests in the stocks of large-cap companies. It seeks to replicate the performance of the Straits Times Index, by investing in the stocks of companies as per their weightings in the index. The fund was formerly known as streetTRACKS Straits Times Index Fund. SPDR Straits Times Index ETF was formed on March 26, 2002 and is domiciled in Singapore.
