It is also involved in production and distribution of biomass gas, power, electricity, and heat business; investment in equity; technology investment and development; energy management; and provision of management advisory, consulting, project development and consultation, and investment and assets management services.

The company was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in Beijing, the People’s Republic of China. China Yangtze Power Co., Ltd. operates as a subsidiary of China Three Gorges Corporation.
