The fund is co-managed by BlackRock Institutional Trust Company, N.A. It invests in the fixed income markets of Canada. The funds invest in Canadian dollar denominated corporate bonds that are rated BBB or below and have a maturity of at least one year. It seeks to track the performance of the FTSE Canada HYBrid Bond Index, by using representative sampling technique. iShares Canadian HYBrid Corporate Bond Index ETF was formed on September 22, 2010 and is domiciled in Canada.
